TRYING TO GET LID OFF MOTT’S GARDEN COCKTAIL!

Monday January 31st, 2011 in Grocery Adventures, In My Life Stuff

A great way to do yourself an injury is attempting to get the plastic lid off Mott’s Garden Cocktail. Either muscle strain or knife wound is indicated.
While it looks easy, that lid is on to stay. Muscles won’t do it. My upper body strength and finger tensiles are right [...]

Sunday January 30th, 2011 in In My Life Stuff, Neighbourhood

This is my husband who continues to meditate in our car in the minus 20 below zero weather while he waits for me to be done swimming.

This is a bit of Randy from Randy’s All Handyman Services who is an excellent person to know when you are in trouble. He unfroze [...]

EARLY SWIM IN THE FAST LANE WITHOUT VINCE

Thursday January 20th, 2011 in Community Swimming Pool

Here’s Terry & Cathy and an otherwise empty lane. It’s been cold (minus 26 when I took this) plus the showers have been cold too!! so attendance is down.

Here’s Wayne and Faye. She is striking what she calls a ‘cheesecake pose’ due to the camera. Don’t you miss us all already? I would’ve [...]

EATING OUT WHILE CELIAC #5

Wednesday January 19th, 2011 in Celiac

THIS is that wonderful poached salmon dinner at Ramikins Restaurant on Bath Road, here in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The brown sauce is a lemon-butter sauce, the mashed potatoes are real as are the veggies.
My husband has the prime beef sandwich. Both our meals only come to 32 dollars all together in a lovely atmosphere. [...]
