2012 July garden & buskers 005Just posted the history of my 1840’s house as I know it. How it was mostly a commercial enterprise since the beginning; first as a carters, (like a horse drawn taxi), then a tannery as the horses died, then a confectionary, a broom factory, a meat market in both world wars with a 24 hour card game in the back, then a shoemarkers (shoes made on the premises, then briefly a student residence (lots of parties) and then an out of print bookshop. In among the flowers in my garden are short renku, sayings and slogans.
